What is difference between electronegativity and electronaffinity?

Electronegativity (EN) is different from Electronaffinity (EA), since EA represents tendency of an isolated gaseous atom to attract electrons while EN represents tendency of a bonded atom (i.e. of an atom in a molecule) to attract the shared electron pair towards itself. In other words, EN is not the property of an isolated atom like EA but property of an atom that may be bonded to one or more atoms in

a molecule.
