The shortcut virus is a shared computer virus that hides your all files and replaces them with shortcuts with the same file name. When you click on the shortcuts file, the virus replicates itself and infects your whole drive. When your computer, hard drive, or USB drive gets affected by the shortcut virus, all files become shortcuts, and the actual data is inaccessible. The shortcut virus usually enters your drive via running a .exe file that contains the virus or by using a flash drive on multiple computers.
To Remove the Shortcut virus follow the following methods.
1. Click on Start and select Run;
2. Type: CMD and Hit Enter to open Command Prompt;
3. Type the drive letter of your hard drive partition in a PC or USB flash drive and hit Enter; (G for example.)
4. Type: attrib g:*.* /d /s -h -r -s and hit Enter.
You’ll be able to see your files and data on Windows PC or USB flash drive now.

3. Save the file with remove virus.bat
"Now replace the Name_drive with the infected drive name, if you have more than 3 drives simply copy and paste the command"
4. Now simply close the file and run it.
-Once everything is done…remove the file from the drive and folder too
